A Simple Introduction
"Seek to be worth knowing, rather than being well known"
I think it's safe to say that my first post as a blogger wasn't a complete fail. It's almost like you guys really like me. Thank You.
"Why Fat Girls Should Never Show Their Skin" was that conversation that I have had in my head for some time now. For my entire life I have been different, and accepting that was never the issue. Accepting that others who were like me sometimes didn't accept themselves was the hard pill to swallow. There is nothing like seeing a mixed child, a bigger girl, or anyone who was different hate themselves because they didn't fit in.
I wanted my words to form a path that could allow those who were different the power to hold their heads up.
Many women who I don't know have reached out to me via Facebook, and through the comments on the blog. It was ALL for you. Women are the most beautiful creatures known to mankind. Sometimes we look outside of ourselves for validation, when all we have to do is to look within. Stay beautiful.
Coil and Curve is a lifestyle blog. I'm a biracial curvy girl who grew up in the south, whose hair is as wild as the cotton fields in southern Georgia. I'm a beach bum who grew up on Tupac, and The Spice Girls. I'm a romantic who hates the thought of a marriage proposal. I'm a recent fashion graduate who is just now understanding her style. I have over 1,000 books downloaded on my kindle, but I prefer the smell and texture of paperbacks. Harry Potter and music saved my life. I couldn't imagine not living the simple life in the charming south, but I'm excited to move to the Los Angeles area. My plan is to get on a reality show, become a fashion designer, write erotic novels, become Instagram famous, and direct straight-to-DVD cult classics. I kid, I just want to rule the world.
I am a walking ironic contradiction.
And I am here to tell my story.
So much love,
